Having graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in graphic design, Jason was immediately hired as a designer by London branding company English & Pockett after winning a national design competition.

Jason joined the mob from Razorfish New York. His Whiskas spot “Commercial for Cats” for M&C Saatchi was widely acclaimed amongst the press and gained awards across the globe. Also among his credits are commercials and design for Smirnoff, BT, Orange, GMC, Mars, Mercedes & L’Oreal.

Being a bit of a swot in his early years of advertising, he began creating titles and promo sequences for the likes of the BBC and Channel 4 before moving on to commercials, and eventually heading up E&P’s commercials department as Creative Director. From there he jumped ship to direct at rival Lambie-Nairn’s commercials division before packing his bags to go to New York and join dot-com zeitgeist Razorfish. For two years he oversaw several international TV branding projects as well as directing promos for various US networks.

Jason has a distinctive style, often combining live action with traditional and computer generated graphics and typography. This unique genre led to being featured in Creative Review’s ‘Creative Futures’, the D&AD Annual in 1994, and to 5 BDA awards including gold in 1994, and silver at the 2000 BTAA and New York Clio awards.

He has judged several international awards including D&AD, Promax and BDA in the US.
