An introduction from Paul WS Anderson

jessops_logoThe Mob have teamed up with Jessops to offer one talented short film maker the prize of a life time! Judged by our very own Paul WS Anderson, the 1st prize is an all expenses paid trip to visit Paul on the set of his latest project. In addition, the competition winner will receive £5000 worth of Nikon DSLR kit, courtesy of Jessops. There are tons of Nikon goodies up for grabs for the runners up, too. All you have to do is make a short film, no more than 10-minutes in length, using nothing but the movie function of a Digital or DSLR Camera.

To help you bring your ideas to life, we will be adding new ideas to this page to keep you inspired all the way up to Christmas, provided by our very own roster of Mob Film Directors. Stay tuned and keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages to get the news first.

Paul summed up the competition perfectly when he said “This is a great opportunity for young film makers. It’s not about who attends the best film school, it’s about pure talent. Please have a go, I have some fantastic judges working with me on this awesome project, we are all really looking forward to seeing some excellent entries.”

At The Mob Film Company we know that the secret of success is always the strength of the original idea. That’s why we’ve started this page to share some of the every day ideas of our stable of talented directors. They will be funny, deep, emotional and at times explosive but you can take these little gems and take them to the farthest reaches of your creative talents. Just scroll down for some fresh inspiration and then it’s over to you.

We can’t wait to see the short films that you guys make and our directors are on hand to judge and offer their thoughts. Good luck from Paul and everyone else at The Mob Film Company.

Chris Gaffey – Blind Sniper

Here is an idea following on from a recent project that The mob have just completed in a tropical valley for the launch of the Blockbuster computer game, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2. To see the original idea in action CLICK HERE

A blind sniper and his spotter have to rely on their instincts, nerves of steel and belief in each other to locate and take out their target - an enemy sniper- before he sees them. One bullet. One chance. One shot.

Guy Soulsby – Variety is the spice of life

Intrigue, tension and moral dilema from Guy. All it needs is a clever twist to set it apart, over to you.

Variety is the spice of life. I'm not sure if Harry's wife would agree

Chris Gaffey – Grudge Match

A classic grudge match story from Chris. You can just imagine the smoky, tense atmosphere.
