This documentary follows the international football star Michael Owen on his road to recovery from a career threatening cruciate injury, which occurred in 2006 playing for England at the World Cup, and also his dream to establish his own racehorse stables.

Directed and written by Rod Brown and produced by John Brocklehurst, ‘Michael Owen: A Year in the Life’ premiered on Sky One in September 2007. The programme was greatly received becoming the second most watched documentary on Sky One throughout 2007.
